Council Meeting

THAT: The minutes of the meetings held on February 12, 2024 be confirmed.

THAT: Report SESS-05-24 relating to Cross Jurisdictional Child Care arrangement be received for information; and further, THAT: Council authorize the Director of Social Services to execute the standard documents and agreements required in order to facilitate a purchase of service agreement for Child Care centers located in municipalities adjacent to Elgin.

THAT: Report PRF-05-24 relating to Declaration of Surplus Property - Jonas Park Parcels be received for information; and further, THAT: Council declare the indicated parcels that partially comprise Jonas Park to be surplus to the City of St. Thomas; and further, THAT: Council direct administration to undertake administrative actions to sole source the disposal of the indicated parcels within Jonas Park to Doug Tarry Limited.

THAT: The recommendations, directions and actions of Council in Committee of the Whole as recorded in the minutes of this date be confirmed, ratified and adopted.

THAT: Leave be granted to bring in the following by-law: 1. A by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council meeting held on the 20th day of February, 2024.

THAT: The by-laws be now read a first time,

THAT: The report of Council in Committee of the Whole on the following by-law be received and adopted, the same be read a third time, engrossed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed and numbered. 1. A by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council meeting held on the 20th day of February, 2024. (B/L 30-2024)

THAT: This meeting be closed to deal with a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations

THAT: Council now rise from Closed Session (6:13 p.m.)

THAT: We do now adjourn (6:14 p.m.)
